Square Enix have canceled all four Starwing Paradox as a result of death threats they've received recently. We already wrote about one of these threats recently and it's taken very seriously.

Square Enix issued a statement and they've said that the threats were all reported on time. Furthermore, they've added that they are all being by the police, but as a precaution, they've decided to cancel the tournaments in Yokohama, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. The developers also issued an apology to everyone who was looking forward to these events, but of course, we understand the circumstances and we know that this decision is entirely legit.

We don't know yet whether the tournaments will be rescheduled or not, but this example gets to show how far gaming toxicity can go. Once again, may scenarios like this one in particular never happen again.
