Riot Games is working on a new fighting game

Riot Games have confirmed that they are working on a brand new game, and it will be a fighting game. So, we are finally getting a brand new IP from Riot.

Apparently, Riot is working on this brand new title in cooperation with Radiant Entertainment. Back in 2016, Riot obtained Radiant who, at the time, were working on Rising Thunder. The game was free-to-play and has just reached the alpha stage before the acquisition happened.

Fast forward to 2019 and here's what we had a chance to hear from Cannon: "Back in 2016 when we joined forces with Riot, I said that we would go in the hole for a while. The reason why we did Rising Thunder in the first place, is that we felt like fighting games deserve to be enjoyed by way more people".

Could we see some kind of reincarnation of Rising Thunder or something completely out of the field? Time will tell but one thing is certain - the announcement sure is exciting!
