A new trailer for a sequel to the original Yooka-Laylee is up and this one focuses on a brand new feature that can change level states through puzzles and secret levels. You can access 20 different 2.5 levels in the 3D overworld, but through interaction with different clouds and switches, you can access 20 additional 2.5 levels on top of that. Quite impressive.

After you complete a level in its default state, you get to rescue a Royal Beettalion Guard from your old nemesis, Capital B. But once you open the floodgates, the same level will be submerged and it will become a completely new experience. Clouds can also freeze your surroundings and you can then use them to slide to the finish line.

You can see all this in action in the trailer below. The game is coming out at the end of 2019.
