Space Invaders is getting its own movie
And it will be written by a new Mortal Kombat movie's screenwriter.
The latest game to join the group of video games that got their own movies is......Space Invaders. A classic game that one wouldn't really expect to see on "the big screen" but it's happening. The studio behind it is New Age Cinema and the screenwriter is the same guy who is working on a new Mortal Kombat movie. Warner Bros. bought the movie rights to the franchise a while ago now, but we are seeing progress now and the fact that Greg Russo in charge of the project says enough.
We have no additional info at the moment, no idea about the plot either.....but isn't the fact that we are getting Space Invaders epic enough? Anyway, we will keep you updated with new information as it comes! Until then, let's hope that the movie will be worth watching.
