InXile Entertainment have announced that The Bard's Tale IV Director's Cut will be hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27.

The Director's Cut of the game was announced back in February and we've been promised new character creation options, additional difficulty settings, significant updates to the game's engine, a whole new chapter of the main storyline, and all the DLC.

The game will now also be released on the consoles for the first time and it will hit both PS4 and Xbox One in the form of a digital release. The game will also be a part of Xbox Game Pass on both consoles and PC and all of that will happen on August 27. Physical releases will come in one week later on both Xbox One and PS4 and the date is September 6.

If you have a PC version of the game, you'll get the Director's Cut as a free update. Hooray!
