Sony and Square Enix are preparing a live action Final Fantasy TV series
The show will "incorporate characters and elements from across the Final Fantasy franchise".

Many people were waiting for this particular scenario and it's finally happening! Final Fantasy will finally get a TV series thanks to a cooperation between Sony, Square Enix, and Hivemind. Hivemind are also in charge of bringing The Witcher series to our TV screens as well, so it's really nice to see that they have ambitions to lay their hands on yet another project.
As The Hollywood Reporter noted, the series will introduce a brand new storyline and this plot will be based in FF XIV's Eorzea. But, unlike the MMO storyline, this one will include characters from the entire 30-year long franchise. Of course, Chocobos will be here as well!
We don't know exactly when they're planning to launch the show, but let's hope it's soon enough!
