It's official - Minecraft's Nightmare Before Christmas Mash-up Pack will be the last ever update for last-gen consoles. That applies to Wii U, PS Vita, Xbox 360, and PS3. It was bound to happen at some point in time, honestly.
Even though the news is (somewhat) heartbreaking, we should add that the game had support for these consoles for quite a while now. Xbox 360 got more than 70 patches alone. The team has to focus on the newest platforms at some point and the new year is a good occasion for that.
Minecraft is one of the most popular games of all time and we don't see this trend going away any time soon. It's also the second best-selling video game ever (just behind Tetris). How cool is that?
