According to the official reports, Super Mario Odyssey has achieved quite a record (yes, another one). The game sold more than 500 000 copies in the UK alone. It's only the second Switch title to achieve such a status (the first one is Mario Kart Deluxe) but, this time, hardly anyone is surprised.
Of course, the sales got a massive boost during the Black Friday event, but nonetheless, I don't think these numbers would be lower either way. It's our favorite plumber after all!
Despite the initial skepticism from some fans, Super Mario Odyssey is a supreme ruler of platforming and these records speak for themselves. There is no doubt that future Mario games will have a hard time to overcome this level of epicness. But, we shouldn't underestimate Ninty, if someone can overcome the hardest challenges, that would be them.
