According to a special report on Thurrot, Microsoft is preparing a new Xbox One S that doesn't have a disc drive.

Apparently, the console will be released in spring 2019 and it will cost less than $200. You will even have the chance to trade your physical media to get the digital version right at Microsoft Stores. The new model would also support 4K and HDR.

"Microsoft is moving forward very carefully with this product as it knows that a sizeable portion of its users do prefer to buy physical games and not download them".

Nothing is yet confirmed so do take everything with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, let's hope that the news is true!
