N64 Classic is not being planned currently
...though it doesn't mean that it won't happen at some point.

Ninty have revealed that they have no intention of bringing up the classic edition of everyone's beloved N64.
The rumors were quite strong for some time, but the possibility has been downplayed (for now at least).
This is what Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku on this matter: "We were clear when we did the first two Classic series that, for us, these were limited time opportunities that were a way for us as a business to bridge from the conclusion of Wii U as a hardware system to the launch of Nintendo Switch. That was the very strategic reason we launched the NES Classic system ".
Both NES Classic and SNES Classic had outstanding success on the market so let's just hope that Big N will soon change their minds!
