Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate went gold. The development is complete and the game is now in the manufacturing phase. At this point in time, we don't expect any delays and the game will be released in December as planned.

He noted that trophies are removed from the game as that is what the devs agreed on previously since they had to put more effort to make them than one might anticipate.

Pirahna Plant will be available in one-two months after release and when it comes to matchmaking the game is "completely synchronized".

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming out on December 7 for Nintendo Switch. It will include a lot of notable characters but, sadly, Waluigi is not on the list. Oh well, we have others to play with.
