Mojang have just announced a new dungeon crawler for PC - Minecraft: Dungeons. Surprised? The game is well underway and it will be released next year already. Blimey!
Here's the statement that we can find on Minecraft's website: "This has been a passion project for them, and is inspired by their love of classic dungeon crawler games. We've taken the combat mechanics of the core Minecraft game and turned it into an adventure game in which you fight monsters, explore environments, find treasure, and earn even better equipment".
You can play the game with 3 of your buddies. You need to save countless villagers across various different swamps, canyons, and (of course) mines. Oh, yes, in the end, you also need to defeat "the Big Brother" called Arch-Illager.
We don't have the exact date yet, but at least we know that the game is coming next year. Anyway, we do have an announcement trailer, so take a look if you're curious:
