Bandai Namco Games have announced that Katamari Damacy will be remastered. Yep, a remaster. It will be titled as "Katamari Damacy Reroll" and it will be released on Nintendo Switch and PC.

The release date has been set for December 7. As you might expect, there will be plenty of improvements compared to the original game, and the most promising updates will arrive in the form of better visuals and more detailed cutscenes. The Switch version will also have a support for HD rumble and motion controls as well as Joy-Con, a feature that you can use to move your character in a TV/tabletop mode.

Katamari Damacy was originally released on PlayStation 2 back in 2004. Even though it was developed with a very small budget, the game was a massive success. The plot focuses on a protagonist called "Prince" who seeks the rebuild the moon and even the stars themselves. How can he do that? Well, by rolling a katamari ball, of course!

Definitely looking forward to seeing the remaster in action!
