Some people were hoping that we will see the latest Tropico this year, but that will not happen. As Limbic Entertainment announced, the game is currently scheduled for 2019.
Even though Tropico 6 was initially planned for 2018, the fact that we had no release date pointed out was enough to make us believe that we are not going to see the game coming out this year. According to the current schedule, the PC version will be released in January whereas the Xbox One and PS4 versions will come out next summer.
If you can't wait that long, we have some good news for you - the closed beta will launch this autumn so we'll be able to see some first-hand images very soon.
We expect Tropico 6 to be at least partially as good as its predecessors, but hopefully, it will be even better. The best thing about the series is that regardless of whether you prefer to rule in a true liberal fashion or with an Iron Fist, you can have a blast either way!
