Delays, delays, DELAYS. We have them every now and them. As TheWrap reported, the highly-anticipated Minecraft movie will be delayed due to the departure of co-writer and director, Rob McElhenney.

The movie is not coming in May 2019 and we will get a new script in the meantime. The script will most likely be written by Aaron and Adam Nee whereas Roy Lee and Jill Messick will produce the movie.

We don't know a whole lot about the film really, but we should expect to see many true Minecraft-like aesthetics. Minecraft would be nothing without those cute little blocks, isn't that right?

Here's hoping that this is the movie that will break down the curse of video game movies. The chances are slim but one can hope anyway.
