Mistakes happen but, regardless of that fact, it's always amusing to see that happening to the big names. An early build of the PC version of Forza Horizon 4 was has shown up on Microsoft Store and people already started downloading the official game files during this past weekend. What a bummer for Microsoft!

As it was reported, people who preordered the Ultimate Edition of the game had their download starting automatically. One Reddit user reported a file that was as big as 90 GB.

The files were encrypted and they couldn't be launched. The official Twitter account of Forza Horizon 4 acknowledged this accidental leak and they issued the following statement:

So, everyone who had these files on their hard drives was free to delete them. But, they were free to leave them standing there as well as the final game would still be downloaded automatically nonetheless.

The live version of Forza Horizon 4 will be released on October 2 and it will be released on Xbox One and PC.
