We could totally expect to see Persona 5 doing well when it comes to the sales and now we finally have a solid proof to back our beliefs. According to the newest sales records published by Sega, Persona 5 managed to sell more than 2 million copies worldwide and the numbers are still going up!

Persona 5 was first released in Japan back in 2016 but the western market also got their own version of it in 2017. And the copies were selling great from the first day already - the numbers reached 1.5 million copies sold relatively quickly and now they went over 2 million just as quickly as well.

It should also be noted that Atlus was only interested in the PS4 version of the game while Japan saw both PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. So, having that in mind, these sales records look even more epic. In fact, they are really epic.

I believe that the developers can be truly proud of their achievement. Not only that Persona (as a franchise) is not as mainstream as some of the other jRPG series, it's still very successful and Persona 5 is now officially the best-selling game of the franchise. Great job lads!
