The big N has every reason to be proud nowadays and, as they have just announced, the sales records of SNES Classic have already gone past 5 million copies. Remember, the console was launched back in September last year and, in just a bit more than 6 months, the numbers are already rocket-high! Can't say I'm surprised really.

As you might know already, the console itself is bundled with some all-time classics like Star Fox 2, Street Fighter II Turbo, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and (of course) Super Mario: World. Compared to its NES counterpart (NES mini), SNES Classic was very well distributed so, we should be no surprised with these results.

The sales were very good since the beginning and, according to the last report from last year (the one from December 31, 3017), the console already sold 4 million copies and now the numbers went over 5 million already. If the trend continues, we could see these records rising and reaching 10 million copies by the end of the year. I mean, why not!

At this point, I can only imagine that we will see the newer consoles being rebranded as well. Fingers crossed for Nintendo 64 and.......heck, maybe GameCube as well!
