The developer behind Orcs Must Die! decides to focus on a new game

As Robot Entertainment have announced, they fired more than 30 workers and in the future, they will be focusing on one single game.....whose name is still unknown at this point.

As the company reported, they grew quite a bit during the development of Orcs Must Die! Unchained but, at this point, the team decided to take a different approach and focus on a single title from now on. Even though these tower defense games got quite a popularity, they decided to take a surprising turn on these events and go on with a smaller team. And this is how they explain it all: " Unfortunately, that means we need to resize our team to fit only one project. We've made the very difficult decision to let go of over 30 of our very talented and dedicated developers. The coming days will be difficult as we say goodbye to friends and colleagues. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them all".

The name of this game, as we said, is not known at this point but we expect to hear more info in the coming days. It should be noted that, even though Orcs Must Die! Unchained was a success, it still didn't live up to the previous games in the franchise. Whether that is also one of the reasons for this decision, we don't know yet. But we will certainly keep our eyes open and monitor the situation as it goes.
