Some games we tend to forget even before we play them properly and the others are timeless. These games that fall into the second category are undisputable classics that are capable of surviving the test of time and they stand as a proof of ultimate quality.

Sega Genesis, in particular (or Mega Drive I & II outside of US) gave us plenty of amazing games and it's no wonder that many players thirst for that old-school action. Whereas PC games (technically) had a possibility to (re)experience these games via various different emulators (we are not going to question the legal issues here...), console gamers were all out of luck on this one....until this point, that is.

As SEGA announced, the ultimate bundle called "SEGA Mega Drive Classics" will hit PS4 and Xbox One this spring. We don't know exactly what games will be featured but I am certain that we're going to see Sonic the Hedgehog (all games except, maybe, the pinball one), Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Shining Force, Shinobi, Altered Beast and much, much more.

This collection will also include some additional features and you will be able to save and load your state whenever you feel like it, you'll also be able to earn some extra Trophies and Achievements and you will also be able to access the multiplayer mode and play against (or with) other players around the world.

If you feel a blast of nostalgia as I do right now, make sure to watch this little teaser down below in order to prepare properly for May 29 (that is when the collection will arrive ):
