Great news coming for all the fans of Lara Croft and the original 3 entries in the cult Tomb Raider franchise. As Realtech VR have announced via their official Twitter account, the enhanced versions of the 3 original games (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II as well as Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft) will be coming to Switch at some point in the near future.

It should be noted that these games are already up for grabs on Steam but their condition, as of this point, is still quite far from the final product as, technically, all we see are some very minor improvements and there is also an integrated emulator that makes these games playable in the first place. This fact alone implies that there are plenty of issues right now and I definitely don't recommend playing them at this point.

Even though we still don't have the release date, the developers promise a brand new 3D engine, 1080p and 60 FPS support and we will also be able to play these games with our joypads as well. We will have to wait for that a bit, though, but it's happening.

In order to get these games on Steam right now, you'll need to have bought the original DOS versions already. However, as we noted above, it's better to be patient a bit and (re)experience the final package in a way that these iconic games truly deserve.

We will surely keep you updated with more information as it keeps rolling. Let's also keep our fingers crossed and hope that we won't have to wait to see Ms. Lara back in action for too long.
