There was plenty of speculation regarding a new Overwatch character but, they can all be put to rest, we finally have this new character in our live game - it's none other than Brigitte Lindholm!
"What can I expect from this hero?" you may ask. Blizzard themselves describe Brigitte as the " engineer with peerless armor-constructing abilities". She is a hero that will give everything to contribute to the victory of her teammates and she will also give everything to protect her allies as well. She is also a "stalwart support hero" which implies that she has good "tanky" qualities that allow her to be able to cope with massive damage in the front lines. At the same time, she can also help her allies by providing some extra healing perks that will keep them alive.
Speaking of her abilities, her main weapon is Rocket Flail that allows her to shoot multiple different enemies at once by smacking them with a gigantic arc. At the same time, she can also rely on the Whip Shot ability to (also) deal some devastating blows to her foes but, that same attack heals hear teammates via the Inspire passive ability.
Going forward, she can act as a "tank" and she can soak a certain amount of damage with her Barrier Shield. And, speaking of "Shields", she also has a Shield Bas ability that she can use to stun all enemies in front of her.
Lastly, we can't put an end to this news entry without mentioning her ultimate ability. As it is said on Blizz's own website, Rally allows Brigitte to cast " a galvanizing call to arms that generates a substantial amount of armor for nearby allies and increases Brigitte's movement speed so she can lead them into battle". It sounds really awesome!
