I believe that every true PC gamer (and every true gamer in general as well) knows about System Shock. If you were a fan of this game, you were likely that person who marked the release date of the remake as one of the most important days of the year. Sadly, a remake of the legendary System Shock will, sadly, arrive later than we expected.

As it was announced on Kickstarter, Stephen Kick (the man behind Nightdive) said that the game is certainly not shelved but the team needs to "reassess" their vision about the whole project before it gets released.

As he stated: "Maybe we were too successful. Maybe we lost our focus. The vision began to change. We moved from a remaster to a completely new game. We shifted engines from Unity to Unreal, a choice that we don't regret and one that has worked out for us. With the switch we began envisioning doing more, but straying from the core concepts of the original title". This actually adds some optimism and I believe that they are really looking forward to re-creating the original experience the best way they can.

Having that in mind, we still have no idea when to expect this remake on our tables and the only thing we know for sure is that the game is coming out for PS4, Xbox One and, of course, PC as well. Arm yourselves with some good patience and we will keep our eyes open and update you promptly as soon as we have more info, that's for sure.
