We had a news entry on the latest God of War fairly recently and we promised to keep you updated with the release date as soon as Sony announces it. Well, we finally have it now - God of War is coming on April 20 and you will be able to get 3 different versions of it - The Collector's Edition, Limited Edition and Digital Deluxe edition.

I was already excited about the game but Sony somehow managed to get me even more hyped up with their inspiring blog post. Just take a look at this: "First, let me say that this is my favorite release day of my entire career. If I live to be 100, I do not think I will be able to top this release day. This has been a long journey just to reach this point so it is a little bittersweet to think that we are only a few months away from that journey finally coming to an end. While I am sad, I am also excited because it means everyone will get their hands on this crazy adventure we have been crafting for nearly five years". You could feel so much emotion and dedication from this part alone and if just a portion of this was infused into the final product (and all the screenshots and teasers we were getting DID imply that this was the case), the latest God of War will certainly be a game to remember.

Speaking of the 3 different packages that we mentioned, if you pre-order any of them from a supported retailer, you will get 3 legendary shield skins that will be very helpful to Kratos on his slaughter-fest journey across the Nordic wilds. On top of that, you pre-order the game at selected retailers across Europe, you will get Luck of Ages XP Boost that has one enchantment slot and it will also grant you +10 Luck. Luck itself will highly affect Kratos' XP gain while it also increases the Hacksilver gain and the ability to trigger perks as well.

Speaking of the editions themselves, if you decide to go for the Collector's Edition, you will get 9-inch statues of Kratos and his son that were both brilliantly crafted by the folks from Gentle Giant. You will also get Huldra Brothers carvings, steelbook case, a cloth map and some exclusive lithograph as well.

The Limited Edition will bring you a physical copy of the game encased in a steelbook case, a Dark Horse art book and some additional merchandise that any die-hard fan should absolutely have.

Lastly, if you buy the Digital Deluxe Edition, you will get a full download of the game, Dark Horse art book + the comic book, a dynamic theme as well as the Exile Guardian Shield in-game content and Death's Vow Armor Pack.

We couldn't conclude this entry any better than citing Sony themselves: "So, 20th April 2018... mark the date on your calendar. Clear that schedule, tell your significant other they are wonderful, because that is always a nice thing to do, and then wonder what you will do with all that free time you have now that you don't need to keep asking me when the release date is". You heard it, boys and girls, mark the date, get some free time and prepare to immerse yourself in this unforgettable adventure! Oh, by the way, don't miss out on this teaser either....
