We are still waiting for the official release date for the next expansion but, meanwhile, the heroes of Azeroth continue their endless journeys after ending the Legion threat.

The newest patch is not a major one (it doesn't bring a new raid or any new content of that type) but it still brings some new things to the table and, it will likely be the last patch of this expansion.

Here's what you can expect when you log on:

A Scaling World - As expected much earlier, the scaling in Legion was just a test for what comes next. Starting from this patch, everything will scale according to your level and you will get a chance to properly experience the storyline of each zone you are questing in without outgearing it too fast.

Ulduar Timewalking - If you are playing WoW for a while or, particularly, from the days of Wrath of the Lich King, you will remember Ulduar, surely! It's one of the most iconic raids ever created (*cough* along with Karazhan) and now you will have a chance to re-experience it as a part of the WotLK timewalking event.

Silthus: The Wound - I won't spoil this because I believe that some people still haven't completed the Antorus raid. But, let's just say that this exciting questline is certainly something you mustn't miss when you log on after the patch is released. Just make sure to complete the raid first for a natural story progression.

New Battleground (Seething Shore) - PvP fans finally have a reason to celebrate as well as....after a while, we are finally getting a new battleground. Basically, the Alliance and the Horde are fighting over the pieces of a mysterious new material - Azerite. This battleground will be a 10 vs. 10 showdown and I am really looking forward to it.

There is another major addition that we have to note and that is the ability to buy legendaries. For a certain number of Waking Essences (1000), you will be able to get a token that will then transform into a random legendary item for your spec. Very useful when it comes to the catch-up bit but it can also be awarding for people who were not very lucky with RNG so far.

Although we expected to some Allied Races in this patch, that will likely stay an exclusive for the next expansion.

Make sure to check out the official website for more details and get ready to log in as soon as the patch is up (that is, for EU at this point).
