The Universim is something I've been keeping a close eye on for a while now. In this God-game, you control and manage your own planets and civilizations in a very Spore type of way. You literally build from nothing to the point where you're sending bodies into space for exploration NASA-style. It's an incredibly ambitious title right from the get go.

The sheer beauty of the title is something that should take no trouble looking at. It feels vast, but then as a ground level is just as stunning. The lighting around the spherical planets is so well done--and pouring in a bit of weather (as this game has a weather system), it becomes eye-wateringly gorgeous.

It's not a simple game of management, however. If you value picking apart every aspect of a civilization and running it tab for tab, this game is most certainly for you. There's weather to look out for and take in consideration when you build. For example, some buildings don't fair well in hot weather, and depending on which side of the planet/climate you choose too lay down said building--will ultimately dictate it's success. It's a lovely concept, but not for the faint of heart.

It has a long way to go for development, but this could be a major player in the God-game department. It's smart, beautiful and once you're in it--a lot of fun to play. I look forward to the full release of this growing masterpiece.
