This...well, sort of a "black sheep" of the franchise will soon be remastered and it's coming to both Xbox One and PS4 this March. In case you missed out on it when it hit PS3 and Xbox 360, now you will be able to experience it first-hand on one of the 2 modern consoles.

Now, you may be wondering why I wrote that this game is a "black sheep" of the franchise. Well, one of the main reasons lies in the fact that it was released at the same time as Assassin's Creed Unity (that one is, perhaps, more deserving of this title but, truth be told, I'd rather just pretend that this particular game was never released in the first place) and only the owners of the last-gen consoles could try it out. The second major reason is a unique twist in the plot of the game. Instead of being a badass assassin who is hunting down and killing the evil Templars, you are now playing a Templar (Shay Patrick Cormac) and you are hunting down the Assassins instead. Isn't that cool?

Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered will include the full game as well as all available DLCs on top of that. That will include both The Siege of Fort de Sable and The Armor of Sin Gunn missions as well as the Explorer and the Master Templar costume and weapon packs. And, in order to enhance the experience even further, this version will have a full 4K support (on both consoles) so we can expect improved visuals and much more detailed textures as well. Exactly what we need to maximize the overall experience. But, even without that, it will run just fine even at the standard 1080p.
