Earlier this week, the achievements list of Injustice 2 surfaced online ahead of its release next month. Interestingly, two achievements mentioned a previously unannounced character. More specifically, the "I Love You, I Hate You" and "Why Aren't You Laughing?" achievements mentioned The Joker in the description.

The former needs to have Harley Quinn defeat The Joker using her move "Go Night Night" as the killing blow, while the latter needs The Joker to defeat Batman with his move "Not So Funny Is It?" as the last hit.

Turns out, that achievements list is spot on: the Clown Prince of Crime is indeed coming to Injustice 2. A gameplay video featuring The Joker up against The Flash has made its way online, unofficially confirming the new character. You can watch it below.

Developer NetherRealm Studios is set to officially reveal a new character tomorrow, April 28. Unless they have a surprise or two in the works, it's most likely The Joker. Be sure to check the official website tomorrow for more details on the now-leaked new Injustice 2 character.

The Joker joins a roster that includes returnees such as Green Arrow, Superman, Batman, and Aquaman, along with newcomers like Black Canary, Deadshot, Poison Ivy, and Supergirl. But as is the trend in today's gaming world, not all announced characters will be available right out of the box. Many of whom will be available via DLC.

Injustice 2 arrives on PS4 and Xbox One on May 16. It will be available in three editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate Edition. The Digital Deluxe comes with three DLC characters, one Premiere Skin, and an exclusive gear shader pack. While the Ultimate Edition gives you nine DLC characters, three Premiere Skins, and two exclusive gear shader packs.

Injustice 2 is the sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. It was developed by NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat X), with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment serving as publisher.
