Brace yourselves, Red Dead fans; an overdue new game is possibly on the way. Rockstar Games just posted on Twitter a re-colored version of their famous logo, one that bears a strikingly familiar shade of red. The studio's official website and Facebook account have all been similarly updated to match the coloring scheme. If you've played Red Dead Redemption, the color red was heavily used in the game's loading screens. It was also prominent when the game was still in the midst of marketing. Also worth noting, the entire image looks a bit old and worn-out, which might fit in with a game based in a very old setting.

Although nothing's certain at this point, this could be Rockstar Games' way of "subtly" teasing a new Red Dead game. It could be a sequel to Red Dead Redemption, an HD Remaster, or simply a port of the game to the PS4. The latter is very much a possibility, considering the game was recently made backwards compatible for the Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010. For PC gamers who've been waiting for the game to arrive on their laps, they can only hope that a PC port is what's being teased.

Last April, an image leaked online that's supposedly a map from an in-development Red Dead Redemption sequel. Add that with this Twitter post and it's easy to speculate that a new game is in the works.

For those of you unfamiliar with Red Dead Redemption, it's an action-adventure game set in an open world Old West. The gameplay is similar to the Grand Theft Auto series, in which you are generally free to interact with the game world however you want. The game was universally praised right out of the gate and even garnered Game of the Year recognitions. While the level of anticipation is not quite on par to a Half-Life 2 sequel, there's no denying fans' eagerness for a new Red Dead game. You only need to look at the comments following Rockstar Games' tweet for proof.
