The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best fantasy role-playing games ever created. Period. The game was originally released last May 2015 to universal critical acclaim, garnering numerous Game of the Year nominations and awards from different video games publications and websites. As per the norm, Game of the Year awardees typically have re-releases in the form of Game of the Year Editions, and The Witcher 3 will be no different. And in fact, players won't have to wait until the end of the year to get their grubby hands on it.

Developer CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the Game of the Year Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will arrive this August 30th, roughly two weeks away as of this writing - 16 days to be exact. In some countries, however, the bundle will be alternatively called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition, which is actually more fitting considering the contents.

The bundle will contain the base game together with the two critically acclaimed expansion packs: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The latter contains so much new content, including a whole new region to explore, that it can easily pass off as a separate game. It sets an example for other game studios on how post-release content should be handled and gives players an additional 30 hours of playing time. Also included in the bundle are all previously-released DLC packs.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition (or Complete Edition) will be presumably available for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, unless CD Projekt RED is feeling heartless and leaves one platform out of the picture. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the third game in a series of action role-playing video games. It follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia as he journeys throughout the dangerous lands of the Northern Kingdoms, pursuing quests and taking out monsters on the side with swords and magic - the usual RPG stuff.
