The countdown is on......

So we officially have the demo of Forza 6 and if anybody feels that this is just going to be a rehash of what we have seen time and time again in Forza's 1-5, are going to be in for a surprise. Forza 6 ISN'T just a tweaked version for the sake of it, heck no. Whereas the first 5 in the series have given us, to be fair, the same game with slight tweaks here and there, such as perhaps some new manufacturer's joining the fray, maybe some new tracks, we may just have started to get a bit jaded about the series. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan but there was the feeling starting to ferment that we needed to see something new. Well it finally happens....

Yes your eyes do NOT decieve you, that is Forza racing, in the rain, complete with puddles that can cause you to aquaplane if you are not careful.  But that's not all....we get Indy Cars and rumour has it we will even see Formula 1 racing in the game. I can tell you now that the speed of an Indy Car is well represented, you can almost feel the G's as you take the bends at speeds that will make you hope you do not clip the wall as you race like the devil is after you around an oval.Yes there are some of the usual elements here, the Drivatars, the challenges, the rival challenges, there are here. But now we have driver mods, some are permanent, some are one shots. You'll get rewarded some of these after every race, as well as cash, affinity, and level increases but now we have the Forza Horizon's prize spin added to the mix. Play the demo and you will get 60,000 credits and a car that will be added in addition you may get for the preorder.

This game looks georgeous, has a frame rate that will make your eyes wonder if they are seeing what they are saying. It teases us yes, it gives us a mere glimpse of what the full product has to offer but from the looks of it, there are more than just cosmetic tweaks, they have raised the bar. A full review will follow after the official release but from what I have seen and experienced so far, other race sims had better watch out. GT 7 will have to be special indeed if it is going to rival this beast.....
