Andriasang is reporting that Nintendo's 3DS system, which launched in Japan this weekend, has sold out. Nintendo initially shipped 400,000 units for the launch and many shops reportedly had sold out their allocation before 10am.
Queues of people as long as 1,000 strong were seen in places, obviously not put off by the 3DS's high price point.
Nintendo had previously stated it wanted to ship 1.5 million systems in Japan by the March 31st and 4 million worldwide.
