Sony have announced that its PlayStation 2 console has surpassed 150 million sales. The landmark number was reached on January 31, around 10 years and 11 months after the system was first released to Japan in March 2000.
Sales of PlayStation 2 software as of December 2010 stood at 1.5 billion units spread across 10,828 releases.
Sony also said that it expects continued demand for the system in East Europe, South East Asia the Middle East, and South America - bring on 200 million!
