As World Cup fever keeps growing, EA have run a simulation of the event using the FIFA engine and the winners are Spain, beating Brazil in the Final by 3 goals to 1. It wasn't so good for the hosts South Africa as they were knocked first by not winning a single match.

England fared well, placing third after losing to Brazil on penalties in the semis (damn penalties) then beating old foes Argentina in the 3rd/4th place play-off.

Other matches of note are Germany's penalty win vs. the USA and Spain's 3-1 win over Portugal in the last 16 and the failure of Germany to get past the Quarter Finals by losing 3-1 to Argentina.

Top scorer was Spain's David Villa with 7 goals, giving him the Golden Boot award and Kaka won the Golden Ball.

If this plays out in any way in the real world cup, im sure many people will be happy, though I'm sure England will fare better.
