Nintendo speaking from its Euro Wii press conference finally confirmed the news we've all been waiting for!

The Wii release date is the 8th of December for the UK and Europe.

It will cost £179 in the United Kingdom and 249 Euros in Europe.

Games will retail at around £34-£39 (49-50 Euros)

The Wii package contains:

Wii console, one Wiimote and nunchuck attachment. With this we get Wii Sports, an AC adaptor, A/V cable, console stand, sensor bar + stand and two AA batteries.

Extra Wiimotes will cost:

£29 (39 Euros)

Nunchucks:

£14 (19 Euros)

Classic Controller:

£14 (19 Euros)

This news comes hot on the heels that Nintendo are launching the Wii first in the US on November the 19th at $249.99 and then in Japan on the 2nd of December for 25,000 yen.

Wii Sports will not be included with the Japan bundle, it will retail at 4800 yen and be sold seperately.
