Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, officially unveils its new internal development team - Beautiful Game Studios. Based in North London, Beautiful Game Studios will be responsible for developing future versions of the market-leading Championship Manager football management game.

Beautiful Game Studios employs 30 staff with over 100 years of cumulative development experience between them. In total the team have worked on over 90 published titles, 60 of which were football-related games.

Beautiful Game Studios is currently developing Championship Manager 5, the next instalment in the series. The game will be released in autumn 2004 on PC. Beautiful Game Studios has recruited the services of an agency that specialises in providing player info and statistics to professional football clubs around the world. This database is used by many of the world's top football managers and coaches. Championship Manager 5 will use an even more detailed version of this database. As well as improving upon Championship Manager 03/04 by offering more accurate and objective data, the game will deliver a much more responsive experience, partly as a result of significantly reduced loading times.

The official Championship Manager website www.championshipmanager.co.uk goes live on 1st February and will be the indispensable guide to the world of Championship Manager featuring news, articles, forums, interviews with the development team and much more.

Jonathan Kemp, European managing director of Eidos says:

"Beautiful Game Studios has assembled a very talented and experienced team to continue the phenomenal success of Championship Manager, which to date has sold in excess of 4.5 million units worldwide."

Dave Rutter, senior producer at Beautiful Game Studios says:

"We have already implemented some key improvements and made some major new signings to ensure Championship Manager 5 will be the most realistic simulation of football management in the series. For the player it will be a smooth transition from playing Championship Manager 03/04 to Championship Manager 5, and the series will continue to offer an unrivalled gameplay experience."
