The Official Dragon Empires website has been updated today with a new Dev Diary from Daniel Yelland, one of DE's programmers:

    A large aim we have had when developing the combat and abilities system for Dragon Empires has been to provide the player with more feedback than existing MMORPGs. Unfortunately there are a number of large issues with combat and abilities in MMORPGs due to server lag times, which I´m sure many of you will have experienced in other games. We´ve attempted to minimise these problems and ensure that when you attack somebody you feel that you have really hit someone as well as minimise artefacts such as incorrect damage results.
