PC Gameworld have posted a Q&A with VU Games Northwest Producer Chris Mahnken about Tribes: Vengeance, the followup to Tribes 2:

    How do you see vehicles fitting in with the single-player aspect of the game, and will vehicles be an integral part of the gameplay, as opposed to a fun distraction as they have become in Tribes 2's Classic gametype?

    [Chris Mahnken] Vehicles will be critical to finishing some of the single player missions. In multiplayer the vehicles will be both useful and fun, but not overpowering. At its heart Tribes is about the tremendous freedom afforded to each player. Freedom of movement, freedom to choose your armor, freedom to select weapons and equipment, and the freedom to play in the way that you want to play. Vehicles will fit into that freedom as well.
