The collection also includes an animated a prequel film starring the origins of Mega Man X villain, Sigma.

Retail releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One include a disc for Mega Man X Legacy Collection and a disc for Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2. The retail release for Nintendo Switch includes a game card for Mega Man X Legacy Collection and download voucher for Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2.
Individual digital releases for Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 also coming July 24, and will be available for pre-order soon for $19.99 each.
