What is Wardens Rising?
WARDENS RISING is an action-packed gameplay experience that pits heroes against massive enemy invasions in a fight to save humanity. In a tech-infused fantasy universe you’ll play as WARDENS, members of an elite fighting force assembled to protect Synthesis energy cores across the realm from interdimensional enemies.
Wardens expands the traditional role of hero-centered action to base defense with supporting mechanics like on-the-fly tower building and upgrading, resource gathering, and pet management to deliver a uniquely thrilling experience.Hero Classes
Each Warden class has a set of special abilities + a customizable loadout of technology that you upgrade and expand over time. Currently we have 4 classes including a Soldier, Elemental Master, Shinobi, and Engineer...with plans to expand classes overtime. Each Warden has a unique core ranged attack and 4 special abilities including an "Ultimate Ability". In addition to special abilities, all Wardens can dodge, sprint, jump and glide through the air. Overtime you can upgrade your hero's core statistics and abilities.Tactical Items
A wide variety of tactical items can be unlocked, upgraded and equipped to compliment your strategy for defeating invasions. Tactical items include traps, air strikes, illusions, walls, teleportation portals, healing auras, energy shields and more!Defense Towers
The defense towers chosen for your loadout will provide you with the support needed to defeat 100's of enemies in a single battle. Each defense tower has a unique ability and upgrade options. Defensive towers are vulnerable to attack so command you SPEC to repair damaged towers before they are destroyed.SPECs
Each SPEC companion (a tech-energy hybrid lifeform) provides your Warden a unique buff and attack as well as performs several critical functions to aid you in battle including: tower and power-node repairs, Synthesis Energy boosting, and Soul Energy collection. Each SPEC has unique stats that can be upgraded overtime which determine their effectiveness at each task.Resources
Wardens use Soul Energy collected from dead enemies by their SPEC to power tactical items and Synthesis Energy that is generated by the Core and Power-Nodes to build and upgrade defense towers. Your SPEC collects Soul Energy nearby while at your side or can be commanded to boost Synthesis Energy production by travelling to the core. The amount of Synthesis Energy provided by the Core and Power-Nodes is based on the number of active Power-Nodes so it's critical to keep them online.Progression
As you defeat invasions you can unlock new technology, new regions, and newer more difficult invasions to defend as well as upgrade your hero, SPEC, and tactical items. Each region has more than one invasion challenge, each becoming more difficult, and a random invasion which is different every time. Track your hero's achievements and earn badges for your skill defending each region.Multiplayer
You can Play Wardens Rising Solo or Co-op with up to 4 players. Combine quick-thinking, strategic planning and teamwork to defeat massive invasions.Alternative Game Modes
Wardens Rising is planning to include alternative game modes like "random" invasions, endless mode, and a create invasion mode either at launch or as product updates post launch.Lore
