Contributing to Games Xtreme

It is a lot of hard work to keep our massive database of game information up-to-date, which is where you come in. As a user you have access to various editing options on our GamePages, dotted around the page you will see edit links and by clicking these you are given some options to choose and boxes to fill in, and by submitting new content we dont already have you are awarded points, which gives you more power around the site!

Each submission goes through a moderation process that is monitored by the Games Xtreme staff and team of moderators, through this process we verify the information and make sure it is good quality. Successful submissions earn you points based on the amount you contributed and when you reach a certain number of points, in this case 800 points (Level 6), your game and boxshot submissions will go live right away and won't have to be moderated.

What exactly can I contribute?

At the moment, you can contribute the following:

• Suggest missing Games
• Game Boxshots/Cover Images
• Game Cheats
• Game Data, which consists of:
  • Release Date
  • Genre
  • Website
  • Price
  • Game Description
• Suggest missing Companies
• Company Data, which consists of:
  • Founding Date
  • Website
  • Company Description

We are still working on other pages and the ability for you to load game images, but there is more than enough to get on with, especially for older platforms where we have very little information and you get credited with every single submission.

Ok, I'd like to contribute, whats next?

Well first of all you need to Register a free account, it helps us keep track of what you do and you can see what you have contributed and the breakdown in points. You will also be notified of successful submissions and anything we reject, explaining why we rejected it.
