A side-scrolling beat’em up, Mayhem Brawler II: Best of Both Worlds was first announced back in June 202, but now we finally know which platforms it will launch on. The sequel is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch at some point in 2024.

Based on what we know, the game will feature light RPG mechanics and you’ll be able to beat up your foes solo or in a co-op fashion (with up to four players). Folks from Hero Concept strive for eight playable characters, putting them up against more than 40 different enemies.

The dual narratives are set 20 years apart, one focusing on Stronghold agent Stellar and the other focusing on She Wolf. As the parallel worlds unfold, the time-splitting teams get to dig into one of Mayhem City’s darkest secrets….mmm, me likes a good mystery plot.

The game promises a new experience for each new playthrough and the team strives to improve replayability with “rich endgame content”, where the player will shape the outcome with the choices he makes. All of these choices will play out through hand-drawn art and animation with inspiration coming straight from the comics.
