The highly anticipated Stardew Valley 1.5 mobile update is getting closer

…but one more week is needed “to ensure quality”.

Happy New Year everyone! We’re kicking off 2023 with great news for all people who enjoy Stardew Valley on their mobile devices.


While folks playing the game on the majority of other platforms have been able to enjoy update 1.5 for quite some time now, the mobile version needs one final touch before it is ready for the public. While it was initially scheduled for release by the end of 2022, a new tweet from Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone gave us more detail about the final deadline for the mobile patch.


The tweet reads:


“MOBILE: The porting team and I have been working extremely hard this past week on the 1.5 update. We’re so close. We could probably release it right now. But we need 1 more week to ensure quality. I accept full responsibility for not hitting the end-of-year target.”


If you ask me what I think about it, I’d say I’m perfectly fine with this outcome. I know these folks will do their best to deliver the best possible experience and their reputation gave them the right to take all the time they need to wrap things up. I know they won’t let us down.
