If you wanted to see how Front Mission 2: Remake looks like before laying your hands on it, we have some good news – new screens have appeared directly on the Nintendo store listing, which was updated recently.

If you’ve never played the first Front Mission game, here’s a small recap. Basically, it’s a tactical strategy game published and developed by G-Craft and Square Enix (Squaresoft at the time). The game was enormously successful at the time, especially among SRPG fans, and this massive success led to a sequel…and now remakes of both games as well.

Other than Square Enix themselves, Storm Trident and Forever Entertainment are the companies working to give the two classics a modern makeover.

Here’s a small blurb that describes Front Mission 2, which takes place 12 years after the first one:

“12 years have passed since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People’s Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic decline ever since the war ended.

In June 2102, soldiers of the Alordesh Army rise up and, led by Ven Mackarge, declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).”

Front Mission: 1st: Remake will launch this November while Front Mission 2: Remake is coming out in 2023. Nintendo also announced a Front Mission 3 remake, but we don’t have the release date at the moment. We only know that it’s coming in “the future.”
