The Cyberpunk anime series Edgerunners is really well done, no doubt about that, and it appears that the show made many people forget about the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which is a success worth celebrating. Anyway, following the success of the anime, we’re now getting a novel set in the futuristic CDPR’s hi-tech universe and it’s coming out in 2023.

The novel “No Coincidence” is not a direct adaptation of the source material, but a brand new story set in the familiar setting of Night City. Written by Polish author Rafał Kosik, the book will feature everything that we loved about the place, but this time in text form.

The Cyberpunk 2077 team have also confirmed that No Coincidence will not be a comic book but a full novel instead.

I believe the book will be good enough to keep most of us occupied before the DLC expansion Phantom Liberty, which is is scheduled for launch in 2023. CD Projekt RED have also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a sequel at some point in the future. The game definitely had a rough start but now it seems that maximum effort is being put in to develop a stable franchise. And based on what we’ve seen so far, they’re on the right track.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
