Square Enix have previously announced that Dragon Quest Treasures is scheduled for launch on December 9 on Nintendo Switch and now we have a gorgeous gameplay trailer to gawk at.
The game focuses on Erik and Mia, a brother and sister duo with a “dream of exploring the world in search of grand treasure.” To do that, they’ll have to team up with various monsters who can provide different abilities to the party to find all the treasure they need. The gameplay is exactly what you can expect from a Dragon Quest game.
The video covers all the basics, including recruitment, treasure hunting, the hub/base mechanic, as well as the main storyline (which revolves around rival gangs and the seven rare Dragonstones). Party-building is the main highlight here. Your minions can even act out of combat and serve as mounts. They’ll have a range of different abilities like having one throw you up in the air. It’s so cool.
