PlayStation Plus is hosting a free weekend, starting this Saturday

Sony have announced that PlayStation Plus will be hosting a free online multiplayer weekend starting this Saturday, August 27.
This weekend, both PS4 and PS5 will be able to play multiplayer on their favorite games without PlayStation Plus. By default, some games have their multiplayer gated by PS Plus, but since we’re having a free weekend now, the doors will be open to everyone. That being said, you still need to purchase the game and you need a PSN account to get access to this free weekend, of course.
Sony have been ramping up their Plus offerings ahead of the new three-tiered plan. While the basic subscription still exists for players who want to just pick up the Plus games and enjoy online multiplayer, some higher-tier offerings give a little more access each month.
