RoboCop: Rogue City trailer reveals Peter Weller back in the role

Nacon have released a new trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City, revealing that Peter Weller will be reprising his role.

Weller took the role in the original movie, RoboCop, back in 1987, and RoboCop, in 1990, but he didn’t show up in the third movie (Robert Burke replaced him there). In any case, it’s awesome to see Weller back once more.

The blurb reads:

“Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.

The triumphant return of RoboCop wouldn’t feel right without the man who brought so much life into the role, and we’re excited to reveal that Peter Weller will be performing voiceover work on the game. Enjoy this first look at gameplay and for the record, ‘dead or alive, you’re coming with me!’”

The game was announced last year and it is being developed by Teyon, the folks behind Rambo: The Video Game and Terminator: Resistance.

RoboCop: Rogue City is coming out in June 2023, on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out the trailer below:
