Saber Interactive are now added to the team working on the remake of arguably one of the best RPGs ever made – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

This information comes straight from Embracer Group in their last financial report. During the broadcast, the company’s CEO and co-founder Matthew Kerch revealed that the studio will provide support for Aspyr on this project.

“Aspyr has gone full in to make this the best game they can make. When we acquired Aspyr, we knew from the start that they would require our assistance.”

“Saber has tremendous expertise in creating these types of products,” he continued. “We’ve done it on Halo – on multiple Halo products – so we’ve been spending a lot of time working with them to bring this title over. We’re fully confident that the game is going to be fantastic, but it’s a massive product and massive products require a lot of effort and time to make good. And especially when you’re talking about a game that’s very old, we’ve basically had to remake that game from scratch.”

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was initially announced last September and it will be a PS5 exclusive.  We don’t know a lot about the project just yet, and we’re unlikely to see a release date being announced soon, but in any case, we will keep you updated once we have more information.
