Bandai Namco and Netflix have announced an anime series based on the popular beat-em-up series Tekken. The show will air later this year and the title is Tekken: Bloodline.

Based on what we can see so far, this will be a retelling of the famous Kazama family story. Here’s what the blurb says: “Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.”

The trailer that you can watch below has a lot of fan-favorite characters and it’s quite amusing to watch. Kazama clan themselves are showing up in the video along with Heihachi, Jun, and of course Jin (who serves as the main protagonist of the show). Ogre, Paul, and King are all showing up in the video as well, and we even have a brief appearance from relatively new characters like Leroy Smith from Tekken 7.

We have no release date for Tekken: Bloodline just yet, but we know it will air by the end of this year. And this is not the only Netflix video game project to look forward to since the live-action Resident Evil series starring Lance Reddick as Wesker was announced last week and it’s scheduled for July 14.

Until the show airs on Netflix, make sure you check out the Tekken: Bloodline trailer down below.
